COMMON AREA TOUR
(continued) |
Before guests are shown to their rooms, the Innkeeper gives a tour of the first floor, usually beginning with the Sun Room. The wicker furnishings invite guests to sit and read, chat, or just relax. |
Leaving the Sun Room, guests pass through the grand entry into the Parlor. |
Both the Parlor and Dining Room have the original plaster walls, white oak floors, cherry woodwork, and ornate crown molding that the Headleys had installed in 1883.
Breakfast is served in the Dining Room, which seats eight guests comfortably. |
Each morning guests are greeted by the Innkeeper and treated to a full breakfast. Breakfast at the Lyndon House is a delightful combination of good food, great conversation, and Victorian splendor. What a pleasant way to start a day!

The Lyndon House Bed and Breakfast is located in the heart of Lexington’s Historic Downtown, nestled among stately Victorian homes. Joseph and Alisse Headley built this charming house in 1883. As one story goes, the ornate woodwork in the parlor and dining room were crafted from a grove of cherry trees on the Headley's farm.
The Lyndon House is a remarkable combination of meticulous restoration and modern amenities. These amenities include high-speed and wireless Internet access, cable TV, individual heating and AC controls, and private baths for all the guest accommodations. On the first floor are the public areas, including a grand entry, formal parlor, dining room, gathering room, and sun room.
Many of the city's finest restaurants, shops, theaters, and Convention Center are within walking distance of the Lyndon House. The famed Kentucky Horse Park and dozens of other attractions are within a fifteen-minute drive.
Come experience the hospitality of the Lyndon House! Guests are greeted with a warm welcome and treated to the comfort and grandeur of Victorian style in your home away from home.”
